These falls are famous but from the top they are not very spectacular. The road in is narrow and winding and parking is very limited when you arrive.

As the title says. You have to do this. Easy find and drive. Parking was adequate. The view is great and it's relaxing to sit and listen.

Wailua Falls was used in the opening credits for the TV show Fantasy Island. It was fun to see it up close and personal. It's easy to reach and access, but parking can be a problem. Make sure to keep an eye on small children...More

Super easy to get to (quick stroll) and lovely falls! Parking lot is right close (limited spots) but folks don't stay long so it wasn't a problem. Nice stop when you have a bit of time to fill.

Wailua Falls is easy to access - just drive right up and enjoy the view. No miles long hike, just a beautiful drive through the Wailua Valley

This waterfall is gorgeous -worth the drive but be patient as there is limited parking and dead end road. The Parkin spots have 20 min limit so just wait a bit for your turn. It does not take more than about 15-20 to look and...More

We visited Wailua falls earlier this month on a whim (had some time to kill before our horseback riding activity). Quick drive up from our hotel and were met with some amazing views!!

If you are not into hike, then that's the best waterfall to drive to. Located not to far away from Lihue , with an easy access , Wailua falls has a massive amount of water. You can park pretty close to it for the impressive...More

The drive to the lookout of the Wailua Falls was easy, although parking can get limited. If you continue to drive just past the overlook, there is more parking. People come and go all the time, so just wait a few minutes and you will...More

It's the same falls as in the opening credits of Fantasy Island right before Tattoo says to Mr. Roarke, "De plane, de plane." These falls are easy to locate when traveling on the way to Lihue; there's a sign from the northern route off Route...More

My husband and I only saw the falls from above, on the road/lookout point. However I think, if there was a kayak tour it, would run through the jungle, awesome! Where we were at on the road, it was pretty far down to the... More

You can check out the falls from the road. If there is a tyrail it will be a big downhill and probably steep down and tough to get back up. There are falls nearby that have a nice easy hike: I think the name is Hookipa... More

It's not particularly steep, but can be problematic during rainy periods. Active terms and adults should have no problems. Then there's the nice dip in the pool at the end.
