Fantastic Easy Hike

This was a great hike, especially if you're staying at the Grand Hyatt. Absolutely gorgeous views. Highly recommend checking it out!

Just a walk from Shipwreck beach you come to views of the multi-colored cliffs. The footing is sandy and the wind is constant, but the views are fantastic.

Makawehi LIthified Cliffs is a great place to hike. It gets pretty hot even in the morning but the path above the shore is worth the heat.

Great hike with wonderful views of the coast line. The array of colors on the cliffs was amazing. Will definitely hike this trail again.

Like many have said previous, it's a little hard to find. But amazing! Turn at the golf course right after the Hyatt .. Park and walk towards the beach. On the you're left is a little path // follow it!!! You won't be disappointed! Very very hard to get lost! My mother and I got some amazing photos

Went for a visit as this was just 2 miles from hotel. Though you need to be a bit of a detective to get there! Park along the stadium/rodeo fence and walk and take the dirt road to the left to find the trail. Once you get there the host enthusiastically tells the history of the cave. The tortoises are... We checked out a dog for the afternoon from the Kauai Humane Society and this is where we ended up. Finding the starting point is a bit tricky. Turn right on the road right after the Hyatt otherwise you will end up in a dirt service road. Most of the trails are sand and there are some rough rocky surfaces... More

if you enjoy a nice coastal walk along some beautiful cliffs, Makawehi Lithifield Cliffs is the place to be. It gives you a nice impression along the south coast of Kauai. It's especially nice during sunset.

Our resort is close by so this was a convenient activity to do. These cliffs are beautiful and it is a fairly easy hike to navigate.

We highly recommend walking from the parking lot next to the Grand Hyatt along these cliffs. Outstanding!
