Strong swimmers will easily get back to shore. A 2 minute walk from the beach up the rock. As safe as could be. No lifeguard.

Great place to stretch your legs and take in some of Kauai's nicest views all at once. This can be anything from a pretty easy hike to quite challenging if you choose to climb down to some of the rocky beaches. An excellent whale-watching site,...More

Great day hike that we stumbled upon -- starts at Shipwreck Beach and leads you to remote and lovely beaches, bays, and other sights

The walk along the upper cliffs is enjoyable but be certain to take water and wear shoes with strong ankle support. Come at low tide for the best views

This hike is a must do. The views are incredible. The hike is not very strenuous. Follow it all the way to the end at Shipwreck Beach where there is a gorgeous beach and surf to cool off

Hiked to Maha'ulepu beach, saw the cliffs, the caves, and the beach. Another beautiful place on the island of Kaua'i. If you have a chance spend a few hours here exploring. Dave & theresa Blanks

This is a nice walk from the end of Shipwreck Beach. The lithified cliffs are worth seeing but there is no set pathway so sometimes you have to double back. If you continue and walk along the edge of Poipu Golf course you get a...More
