Quiet and beautiful, hideaway beach is a great place to relax. It is small, maybe 100 yards long, but due to the difficult climb down and back up there aren't many young kids. The snorkeling is great too. I went out while my wife stayed back and read on the beach. It also has quite a bit of shade so... More

You have to be committed to wanting too go to Hideaways, there must isn't an easy way to get there. If you are staying at Pali Ke Kua there is a private path that is paved, but still challenging. If you are not a guest there the public patch ante a bit more challenging. IF you are up for the... More

Wear sneakers or stable shoes. Hold tight to the rope and proceed with caution. You will be fine. Down in ten up on five. It's fun .

This is one of the most idyllic beaches ever. It's not very big and the climb down, and up again, is muddy and a bit slippery, but it's well worth the effort. Surfers will really love it as will those who just want to sit and watch the impressive waves.

The parking here was really limited and the "path" to get down was really sketchy! It had just poured, so it was SO slick and steep and really muddy. There are stairs for the first bit, but once those stairs are gone, all that's left is a muddy rope. We had friends who came down with us and they had... More

We've been here all week and it's been raining everyday which means muddy, slippery trails. Not sure how folks get stuff down this trail when it's muddy because you certainly need both hands in some sections to get down to the beach. Once you're down there it's quite lovely. There was a pretty mean rip current when we went down... More

Best condos in Kauai are right above this beach. Puu Poa complex and the best of them all is unit 412. We stayed there and it's amazing!!! Pack a beach chair and some snorkeling gear on your back, walk past PuuPoa condos and the small trail is on your right. Don't sweat the decent down with the help of rope. If... More
