Since the Seven Sacred Falls was a bust, we stopped here on the way back. This is not the easiest place to find and you have to be careful. First there is no official parking lot for this beach. Be careful where you park since...More

What a cool beach. When the sun is bright the red and blue colors here are so vivid. I could not believe how red the sand was (well crushed rock) and how blue the water. Not the best swimming due to high and rough water,...More

Wow you feel like you've come upon a hidden gem when you see the red sand. We didn't have our suits, would recommend you wear them. It was a mild hike, not too strenuous, a few heights, just don't look down if you are scared....More

Definitely worth the trip; the hike in definitely wasn't that bad as others have stated. Probably the most beautiful beach that I've seen.

The trail leading to this site is VERY dangerous and must be avoided. The soil and the cliff side are very brittle and has a high likely hood of giving way underfoot. The local staff at our hotel strongly discouraged visitors from going to this...More

The trailhead is a little tricky to find, and the trail itself is narrow following a steep drop to the ocean. If you go south on Uakea Road to the end, there will be a grassy area on the left (east) side. If you stay...More

Beautiful red sand beaches and great place to swim and hang out. The hike down there is also a lot of fun. If you want to get some good photos of the waves and rocks, this is also a good spot. Lots of local culture...More

You have to park your car near the Community Center (Green Building). Look for a path to the right of the building and start your trek down the path along the waterline. It takes about 15 minutes but well worth it. I suggest you wear...More

Red sand beaches located behind the Hana school at the end of Hana Road which is a dead-end. I recommend you get an audio guided CD for your vehicle.
