Exhilarating and beautiful flight around the crater and Hana

Visiting Maui it's highly desirable to go to the top of Haleakala crater, over 10,000 feet in altitude and at least 2 hours drive one way, and visit Hana, a remote but beautiful... read more

Booking was easy. Ground staff courteous. Pilot was nice, talked to us throughout. Showed us around well.....But too many people in the helicopter for everyone to be able to see nicely. I was in the back row, middle and had no good opportunity of taking pictures without climbing on my co-passenger. I managed some shots but never got a chance... More

Visiting Maui it's highly desirable to go to the top of Haleakala crater, over 10,000 feet in altitude and at least 2 hours drive one way, and visit Hana, a remote but beautiful Hawaiian town on the SW tip of Maui requiring a 10 hour ( 1 way), bus ride. We chose to take the helicopter instead, and had a... More

We couldn't decide if a helicopter tour was worth it. We kept going back and forth and then finally did it and I'm so glad we did! What an amazing once in a lifetime experience! Our pilot was great, the views were amazing, waterfalls, lush jungle, the dormant volcano everything was great. The ride was smooth and I never felt... More

You don't really get to see most of the island if you don't board a helicopter. I have used Sunshine before in Kauai and was happy to use them again in Maui. Very professional and safety conscious We got to go into the crater, the valleys with waterfalls, and along the southern coast. First flight for my son - he... More

Sunshine Helicopters were amazing. Our tour took us over Maui and Molokai and it was awesome. Our pilot was very informative and careful and the ground staff very safety conscious. We saw whales and zoomed over forests and mountain ridges which was really cool. Highly recommend this company for a tour.

My boyfriend and I recently went on their Molokai Deluxe Tour and had a great time! Our flight took us through the West Maui mountains, over the channel, and then to Molokai! We got to see many waterfalls, the Molokai Fish Ponds, and even whales breaching from above. The whale sightings from the helicopter by far were my favorite part... More

Since I was pregnant I couldn't do a boat tour but we were told a helicopter ride was just as good and you could actually see more. This was very fun and glad we did it. The views were amazing and Kauai is breathtaking. I did get a bit motion sick but I figured that would happen. My husband really... More

We took the "early bird" flight and it was a great experience at a great price. Due to cloud cover, we were diverted from the scheduled route of Hana and Haleakala Crater to western Maui and Moloka'i. These areas are SPECTACULAR and much of it accessible only by air. The office staff was pleasant and the pilot could not have... More

The helicopter tour was really amazing and unforgettable. Our pilot is very humorous and friendly during the ride. The reason I give sunshine helicopter 3 points rating is because they put BIG advertisement on the tour magazine showed that we can get $50 OFF per person for booking early bird ride (which IS NOT TRUE). When we called for booking... More
