The wait at the summit was not for the faint of heart. It was 30 degrees with 30 mph winds and rain...we were standing there for about an hour. We had all but given up on seeing the sunrise, when one of the Hawaiian workers...More

Great trip-- gorgeous sunrise (though very cold at the summit-- occupational hazard)--and the bike ride downhill was fun and gave great views of the island. The tour guides were great, friend and fun and we definitely felt safe in their hands. Would recommend!

You ride from your hotel to the top of the crater - then board bikes for the trip down. Everything is focused on safety and comfort - but it is still lots of fun. Easy for a mixed group with different skills and ages

Did not do the zipline. We were not concerned about getting our shoes dirty during the bike ride. We just wanted to be comfortable. I think I wore hiking shoes.
