Fun day

Overall it was a good day. The biggest downside was that it was an 8 hour day for an activity that lasted an hour max. They should really shorten the time it takes. We spent most... read more

We had a great time! At the top of the crater it was cloudy/rainy so really didn't see the sun rise. So glad there was the bike ride down! I would have been really disappointed if it had not been for the bike ride. Steve was our guide, he was awesome and made our mountain/biking experience memorable! It took awhile... More

This was an awesome tour and our guide Steve was great! It's super early but an experience worth doing at least once. The crater sunrise is cold, like 34 degrees cold, but very pretty. The bike ride down has amazing views and is fun. You don't have to pedal much since gravity leads the way.

Overall it was a good day. The biggest downside was that it was an 8 hour day for an activity that lasted an hour max. They should really shorten the time it takes. We spent most of the time in the car driving to and from. The staff was VERY friendly and went out of their way to make us... More

Booked the creator sunrise, bike and zip line tour. Doug picked us up at 2 AM. We went to the shop for a snack and to pick out our gear. Packaged Danish, coffee or hot chocolate was our morning snack. Not impressed with the start. Doug was polite and knowledgable but did not accompany us while we waited over an... More

My wife and I ride our bikes occasionally when the weather is nice just to get a little exercise. We booked this tour through the Pride of America cruise ship off-shore excursions which charges about 20% more than booking directly with bike company. Anyway, they picked us up in a van about 8:30 AM at the dock on time; there... More

Wow! Just wow.... We just came back from our sunrise bike ride tour and cannot believe the morning we've had. Sure it's an early start, getting picked up at 2.50am during your vacation, but our friendly bus driver Ben and our trip Ohana (the other guests) made the travel go quickly. We met up with our hilarious guide Jesse at... More

We did the sunrise tour - and yes you have to get up early - but it is well worth it. I thought they were well organized. After being picked up early you go to their base station where you are fitted for a bike helmet and are given wind breakers and pants. We arrived at the summit about an... More

We were picked up at our hotel at 3am but so glad we did it. We started off at the Maui Downhill location to receive our rain jackets, pants and helmets. Continental breakfast was advertised but I wouldn't call it breakfast. It was a cold pastry, coffee, and hot chocolate that didn't even have a stir stick to mix it... More

Well worth the early start. We saw in the first sunrise of 2015, boy was it cold! Wrap up warm. The Down hill Maui experience was so much fun! Felt like a child again and grinned the whole way down. Free wheeling down a volcano is my kind of cycling!!

This tour was booked with the Makena Beach and Golf Resort concierge. It was actually 3 tours in 1. We began with the Haleakala Sunrise tour. Yes we had to wake up early and yes it was very cold all the way at the top of the volcano, but I have zero complaints. What's a trip without doing something out... More
