We too booked from KOR only to have a mix-up with the reservation on Thursday (today). As it turned out it was simply due to Maui Paddle Sports at this locale changing hands this week. Jamie, the new owner, and his crew were more than accommodating. The new business name is Ali'i Maui Outrigger Canoe. They made an additional trip... More

We had a reservation for Thursday with Maui Paddle Sports. On Wed we received a call that they were moving to the Ka'anapali Hotel and were waiting on permissions to resume their trips for the new location and to get a refund from the concierge - which we did. Thursday morning I received a call from a woman asking where... More

The outrigger trip was exciting and so fun! Our guides, Meghan and Michael, were the best. Their local knowledge of the Islands and the marine wildlife was outstanding and entertaining. Thanks to our guides' persistence, we were able to catch up to whales that were far off shore (perhaps two miles) and enjoyed close encounters with them. One even went... More

These outrigger trips are the most Hawaiian way to get out on the water and see marine life in its natural habitat. Gliding through the water with no motors to disturb the tranquility, you get an intimate visit with sea turtles and even humpback whales, who are naturally very curious and often come over to investigate! Pure Maui Magic with... More

My husband and I paddled two different times. The first time was magnificent. Whales came very close to our canoe for up-close viewing. The second time, it was windy and our guides had us stay close to shore. Staring into the water at Black Rock from the canoe was not what I had counted on. I recommend checking the weather... More

Two hours of bliss on outrigger canoe! If you do anything while visiting Maui, go out with Maui Paddle Sports. Our experience started out with a seamless check in with Amy, brief and to the point instruction on paddling then on our way. Mahalo nui loa to Jason who so kindly calmed my anxiety and created such a joyful experience.... More

Maui Paddle Sports does it right! Great way to see the sea life, up close and personal. Only 4 tourists and 2 guides per boat. Our guides Jason and Anson (sp.?) shared great local knowledge, were expert watermen, and 'carried' us tourists. We paddled out about 1/2 mile or so, drifted with other MPS boats and 'Wow', we saw whales... More

There is not one bad thing I could say about this excursion. The location was great, signing up was a breeze, instruction was easy, getting in and out of the Outrigger was simple, paddling as a group was easy! Best part was the entertaining and knowledgeable leaders/crew. Anson and Leeland were a riot and had us laughing most of the... More

Had a great time with Maui Paddle Sports. I took a Trip with Jamie and he was the best. I received a great history lesson, saw some wales, got in the water and listened to them sing under the water. This was the highlight of my trip. Thanks Jamie and Maui Paddle Sports for the great time.

You probably never thought rowing a boat could be fun. Well it is on this ride! The crew is fun and full of Maui facts. Guide Kapena is a Maui native and very funny. We saw whales and dolphins on our trip. The water is clear and warm. The ride is smooth. The rowing is not strenuous. Go for it!... More
