There are a lot of families at this beach. The day we went the snorting wasn't that good. We needed to go down towards the end of the beach by the black rocks to see any good fish. I can't complain though. Come on it's Hawaii

I can see why this beach is rated so high on Maui. We stayed at the Royal Lahaina which was right off this beach. In front of the smaller hotels like ours the beach is quieter, but still not overcrowded most of the places we walked to. There are at least two snorkeling sites off this beach. The beach walk... Beach is beautiful, it;s not crowded when we visited but still quite a lot. As some people mentioned the beach erosion is quite obvious on the beach. you can clearly see the elevation change. Wave is great, not too strong but strong enough for some board surfing near the shore

Rates as top beach in United States year after year. Its beautiful, top shelf amenities, great people watching, everything you can ask for in a day at the beach. However, you must respect the water despite its beauty. There is often a hazardous shore break that can take down and injure the strongest of legs. Watched many get wiped out... More

Best beach in the world! The best place to stay is the Kaanapali Alii. Lots to do within walking distance or short drive.

Great beach for teens that are not strong swimmers and just learning to snorkel. Water is clear and there is lots to see.

This is the beach to stay near. It is beautiful. It is not crowded and has all the things you would want to do. Get a hotel on this beach if you can.

Ka'anapali Beach is a wonderful beach to snorkel, or simply walk along the beach. We stated at the Westin right on the beach, and took daily walks during the day and sometimes at sunset. There's a boardwalk that you can take to the Marriott to see the cliff diving at sunset - a must see activity. All in all, a... More
