Even at 8am on a weekend this beach was busy. We luckily managed to find a parking spot and enjoyed a stroll along the small beach area, but personally I prefer quieter beaches. Would go back if parking was available but wouldn't wait for parking like some people were doing when we left!

Everything you need for a day at the beach. Changeroom, washroom, free parking, picnic tables, bbq, shade, swimming and other water activities. Clean beach with nice sand. No lifeguards or concessions. Tip...there is a nice sized shallow wading area that is protected by rocks and provides calm waters for children or those not wanting waves.

This famous taste of "paradise" is free to enjoy. It is located on Honoapiilani Highway just before entering Lahaina town from the Central Valley of Maui. Outdoor grills are available for the early birds. this beach is a locals favorite.

This beach has smaller, easy waves that are great for beginner surfers. It also has a protected area for young children to play in the water. This is a great place to spend an afternoon surfing.

Picnic tables, grills, surf breaks, bathrooms, showers, and lots of shaded grass area make this an extremely popular park for locals. There is additional parking across the street, which may be advised because cars often get blocked in on really busy days.

This was a lovely place we frequented during our week in Maui. Loved watching all the surfers. There is also a small natural pool for dipping. Clean and well kept. Don't bother on the weekends as it is full of parties, bouncy houses and BBQs.

At the suggestion of our professional photographer (Seventh Wave), we took our professional photos here 2x (several years apart). First, was during sunset after a rainstorm. Second was in the morning (9am). Both times, the photos turned out gorgeous. Great scenery, clean, and easy to find.
