Since I grew up in the Midwest, this trip was my first time being introduced to the Banyan Tree and I feel in love. How could you not love a tree that can give enough shade for 100 people to picnic underneath it's lofty branches during another cloudless, sunny sky in Hawaii. It's just something you gotta see. I've now... More

Beautiful, shady park. Nice marina on one side and front street on other side. Gorgeous sunsets right off peer or walkway along front street.

If you like cool trees then this is a must see! A square block covered by one tree with multiple supporting runners. Outrageous, and plenty of shopping and restaurants in walking distance.

Hard to miss in downtown Lahaina. A beautiful setting with benches to sit, and some days a craft fair is going on. Right by the harbor as well. A serene spot to be.

This tree is phenomenal. Spread majestically across a whole corner block spreading and planting roots as it goes. A must see.

Having never seen a banyan tree before, I was amazed at the size of the tree in Banyan Tree Park on Front Street. This is a lovely area with many visitors. Front Street is home to many interesting shops, galleries and restaurants. Definitely worth your time to stop in! Parking is difficult to find and the paid public lot is... More

Its always fun to take someone here who has never visited. Once they realize just how big the banyan tree is, they are simply amazed. A must see on your trip to Maui. Not only is it free, but it also provides shade and shelter from the sun!

Amazing tree, not to be missed. Front street Lahaina is full of fun. Often have markets here in the park, local artists, great art, reasonable prices.

We decided to explore Front St. and stopped as we were walking by on Thursday evening. No crowds or homeless people just a few other families besides ours. It's very interesting to read the story and then stop and realize that even though it looks like multiple trees it is only one. Great place for a photo op!
