This is a good place to learn of the history of how Hawaii quickly went from a non-literate culture to a literate one. It is housed in a historic building with examples of the printing equipment and plenty to read.

While the museum is very small, it contains some interesting items. Additionally, the young man who was restoring an old saw was very informative, and made prints for us.

I gave it a three because you have to rate it but when we drove up it was actually closed during its regular business hours. The museum is on the high school's campus so avoid 2ish pm when they let out of school. It's also...More

Magnificent, it is the best school as well! Lahainaluna High School has some of the nicest and friendliest students. They'll gladly give you a free tour of the museum if you approach one and ask them to.
