This show was very well done in quality and theatrics. I do note that it could have been better introduced either in the program or prior to the start of the show, as it took me half of the show to get into what was...More

It was actually in December 2014 that I saw Ulalena at the Maui Theater. It was an excellent show, very interesting and fun history of Maui production. Highly recommended!

It was a celebration of aloha, its music, beauty, landscape and stories. What an important part of Hawaii we got to share. For all of us who visit these sacred islands, Mahalo.

We brought our young family to see Ulalena in early January 2018. Our girls were captivated by not only the show, but the music as well. The half-man, half-pig actor surely stole the show! He definitely had the girls giggling!

The theatre is aging but the entertainment more than makes up for the show. Talented cast of dancers, chanter, drummers, musicians. For the uninformed, it is worth looking up the story of the kumulipo and the value of Pele and the pig god Puaa. A...More

We enjoyed the show, a representation of an island story, with great music and dancing. Lots of popcorn crunching in the theater. Less than 90 minutes. But discount tickets through any of the many vendors rather than direct from the house. Parking is nearby but...More

I was invited to Ulalena by a local Maui resident who has seen it numerous times. It is indeed a stunning show. Live music, mostly percussion, skilled dancers and inventive choreography. It is quickly paced so is also suitable for children, although not the noisy...More

This show is based on the legends of Hawaii. The music was beautiful, and performance was diverse and exciting. There were some kahiko (traditional hula) performances too. If you have any interest in Hawaiian music/culture/hula I definitely recommend this show.

Attended the December 28th performance. The show? Beautiful. The actors and musicians? Phenomenal. However, there are deliberate choices made by the theatre that completely took me out of the show. I couldn’t enjoy one single scene. 1. Popcorn and drinks are served. The sound of...More

This show gave an artsy view of the story of Hawaii. Thought Most of the show was in the Hawaiian native tongue, my 5 and 7 year old had no problem following the story line. The singing, dancing and music took us to a different...More

To answer the question about dinner after the Ulalena show. If you park in the Outlet lot across the St from the theatre, the theatre validates your ticket for 4 hrs. There are many nice restaurants on Front St. On trip... More
