There are blocks of darling gift shops, shaved ice shops, & restaurants. We visited several times & always felt very safe.

Breath-taking artwork and knowledgeable sales people. Fun place to stroll along after dining on Front Street. Great cloudy day place to walk around, too then lunch on front street.

There are many quality art galleries on Maui. If you are seeking paintings of local artists, the collection at Village Galleries is outstanding, representing more painters than any other gallery. The Friday Art Night and during the week painting demonstrations at the Kapalua location provide the opportunity to visit and learn with many.

Some people love realistic landscapes, impressionistic palm trees and hyper realistic paintings of native Hawaiians. In almost every gallery on Front street in Lahaina you can find these plus a Thomas-Kinkade style beach or fluorescent underwater scene. If you're looking for work that's a little more unique (and probably a few hundred dollars cheaper) try The Village Galleries. They do... More

Very fun side attraction when you're tired of the beach. Easy to walk around and plenty to do. Especially pretty at night.

This gallery has a wide range of art but mostly painting and photography. It also has some jewelry. They just hosted a National Pleinair Invitational meet with painters from all over the US. It was fabulous and lasted for two weeks. The scheduled venues were printed so it was possible to follow them and observe their styles and techniques as... More

A lovely little art gallery & gift shop, (actually, two!): one located right behind the other. The full gallery features work by local artists, including originals & prints. The shop up front has more gifty art, but equally charming. The gallery had some pretty amazing artwork by Tracy Dudley. Another favorite was Beverly Fotheringham. The art consultant onsite was well... More

I liked looking around this place and ended up buying a few cards. I wish I had more time to spend here but I was on a family vacation and there is only so much time children will be good when surrounded by little hand carved boxes and other child sized treasures. This would be a great place to get... More

Quality art of all kinds are represented at this gallery. Do not overlook their additional gift shop across the parking lot.
