Good -- Seen one luau seen them all....

They tried really hard, but they were just like every other luau that I have attended (lost count now; somewhere around 8-10). As a result, if you are staying near there (Hyatt... read more

The ads were good so we decided to give it a try. The food was subpar, the show was not good and very hard to see although we purchased premium seats in order to be in the "2 front rows". The 2 front rows are actually 2 very long tables so even when you're still in the 2nd table, there... More

They tried really hard, but they were just like every other luau that I have attended (lost count now; somewhere around 8-10). As a result, if you are staying near there (Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali Beach), then you should go there.

This wasn't our first choice of luau, but we were able to get a reservation with about three day's notice, so we went with it. The performers were very good and the food was also good. We did "preferred seating" (not VIP), and had a good view of the stage. I liked the inclusion of multiple cultures with some information... More

Surely one of the best Luau's in Maui. The show was an extravaganza of dance, culture and song. Very moving performances. Crowd was chained to the rhythm! Food was a fabulous display of authentic Hawaiian meats, fish, side dishes and fruits. Money is very well spent.

The performers were phenomenal and I would give them 4 stars on their own. Also our server was very attentive. However, the atmosphere left a bit to be desired and I wish I hadn't paid so much for this event. You sit jammed in at long tables, with little room to get in and out of your seat. The buffet... This was okay and the fire dancing at the end was great. Otherwise, very slow and boring. Ambience was poor as well. That being said my kids really liked it.

This is an event that would be worth going to if the cost was lower. The wait time for non-VIP seating was excessive and located in the sun with no shade. They could easily move the line to the other side of the venue so that guests can wait in comfort to be seated. It is also a long wait... More

Our hotel room at the Hyatt was on the 5th floor above the Lu'au. We were able to watch the Luau every night we were there for 6 nights! Same show every night. It's got good music and good dancing. Love watching the Hula girls!

Go for the show and the drinks, i was not impressed with dinner or dessert. I really like hawiian food and felt this was lacking flavor. The dessert was just okay. This was our second time attending Drums of the Pacific and definitely was a spectacular show! I also enjoyed the craft tables after the show. The table waitress as... More
