The sea turtles come up to the beach to rest at night. They come up close to sunset between 5-6 pm. Also great surfing too.

Very wide and safe beach with lifeguard presence. Well-maintained beach with beautiful views. Has nice clean facilities located just offer Hana highway.

Sea Turtles, sea turtles and more bigger sea turtles. It's not the biggest beach, but water is great for swimmers and surfers... and sea turtle gawking. Loved it, would go again anytime.

This was recommended by a local. You are guaranteed to see loads of turtles here absolutely fantastic. However the locals slightly spoilt it - gangs of young boys trying to stab turtles and the adults getting drunk and littering up the beach.

We arrived here late in the evening after sunset and was mostly dark at that time but still could see the sea turtles. Was definitely one of the main highlights of our trip and would recommend coming here if possible.

The beach and facilities are quite good here and the lookout is a good vantage point. But the same can be said of dozens of beaches around Maui. Arriving here late afternoon just by chance and we had an experience that cannot be had anywhere...More

Great place to snorkel. If you get there before 7:00am you can get in for free and you don't have to pay for parking either. The path to the cove is steep so I suggest if you walk down you can catch a ride back...More

Delayed answer. The surfing app question has been answered quite well. Surfers are there whenever the wind is blowing, which is all of the time. This is one of the VERY best wind surfing beaches in the world. The greatest... More

A late answer, but still. In Paia (2.5 miles away) you have Baldwin beach park. If you have toddlers, the best best is Baby beach. Drive through Paia (going west), you pass Baldwin, take right onto Nonohe pl, take 2nd right... More
