Maui Ocean Center is expensive! It isn't huge and there are better aquariums but nonetheless, our kids love visiting it for a few hours and makes a nice stop on overcast or windy days that aren't perfect beach days (or if you need a break from the beach). Turtles are great, their talks about sea creatures are good if you... More

The center wasn't huge and overwhelming but everything in it was very good. I would recommend buying the tickets online beforehand. There are 2 check-in lines when you get there - one for those who purchased before arrival and those who are purchasing at the door. As you can imagine, the latter is going to be A LOT longer.

I purchased a week pass from Expedia, not knowing exactly what day we would be able to visit. We saw the entire place in about two and a half hours. We are used to aquariums on the mainland, such as the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey. This one on... More

The Maui Ocean Center is a definite must see when you visit Maui. It is centrally located so it'ts easy to visit no matter where you are staying. The exhibits are set up so that kids can also easily see everything and learn lots about fish and the ocean they inhabit.

This is not your usual aquarium. It is more geared towards educating the general public on what is in the ocean near Hawai'i and what we can do to help keep it in better condition. Kids under the age of 4 may not enjoy it as much as a regular aquarium. We brought our 2 1/2 yr old and while... More

I was so impressed, our whole family was. For several reasons. Their on-line service was easy and competent. They texted to remind me of my reservation for my tour. The front desk recieved us in the true Aloha manner. They had provided the public via on-line..special tour incentives, which I thought was brilliant. It was greatly appreciated, and we took... Maui Ocean Center is by far the best aquarium in Hawaiʻi! Honolulu aquarium can't even top it. The facility, although one wouldnt expect, is rather large considering the amount of acres the aquarium is on. Situated in a prime location overlooking Maʻalaea Harbor, Maui Ocean Center boasts a 750,000 gallon open exhibit tank with a stunning 240 degree acrylic tunnel.... More

Not only attractive and inviting for the casual person looking for something to do, but Maui Ocean Centet offers incredible displays, marine life and informational guides that transport you into a world all its own! Planned on spending a couple hours but spent most the whole day there with a teenager who was just as pleased! Looking forward to another... More

Overall we enjoyed this center. It was a little expensive considering its size. We still enjoyed it - one of our favorites was a small outdoor pool. There was one fish that skimmed with its mouth open across the top of the water - my daughter jumped when she first saw it as it looked like it was going to... More
