Listening to the whales

Kevin Hoke is quite the host! We saw so many whales on our trip to the islands. I asked my wife what more could we ask for; her response was "I wish we could hear them". I called Kevin and he told me about his equipment that made this possible. We canoed out in the calm waters and just sat... More

What a wonderful way to enjoy the morning, we really enjoyed this experience! It is really beyond canoeing. Through Kevin we learned about Hawaii and its native people and the respect for nature. We are planning about doing it again when we come back with pur daughter. If you go to Wailea beach stop by and go for a ride!

Our canoe trip with Kevin and Kealoha was great. We really loved the stories and chants, and very much appreciated their confidence and experience. We saw a few turtles and fantastic views of places such as Molokini, Molokai, and Haleakala in the early morning, on calm waters. Learning to paddle together let us add ourselves to the experience in a... More

Highly recommended! Thank you Kevin and Randy. Both myself and my wife Holly thoroughly enjoyed the experience this morning. Viewing the turtles and sea life, learning about the Hawaiian culture, wave navigating to Tahiti of your ancestors, even Randy sharing is knowledge about cooking and the use of coconut oil. A great morning, relaxing and and great company. Thanks again... More

WOW! Are expectations were high and Kevin exceeded them. The Pacific is calm at 7am so the paddling was more relaxing than tiring. We shared the Pacific with sea turtles and flying fish. The water was so clear you could see the bottom of the ocean and all the fish below us. Kevin is a true gentleman and has a... More

Amazing experience with Kevin. The Honu (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles) were very curious and abundant during our tour. We spotted 6 or 7 including several that swam around our canoe and checked us out. A very unique cultural and wildlife experience well worth the price of admission.

We took Maui Paddler's Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe Eco Tour as a group of seven, and every one of us enjoyed the experience. Mike, our tour guide, started by drawing a map of Maui in the sand and teaching us about the island and how his ancestors came to Maui. He thanked God with prayers in Hawaiian before we entered the... More

As a homeschooling family, we were seeking ways to intigrate a variety of educational opportunities into our vacation. I took my two boys (5 and 7) to the Maui Paddler "Cultural Sampler" alone, as my husband wasn't feeling well the day we had scheduled the tour (and I dont think he was that excited about going in the first place).... My husband and I were recently in Maui for our honeymoon. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner, Barry of Maui Paddle, he is super nice and full of knowledge about Hawaii and the culture!! We went out on the last day of our trip and wished that we had more time to go out again. It was the... More
