Bring a good pair of beach shoes

Very long beach with nice sand. You need a good pair of beach shoes to wade or swim because of the rocks and stones in the surf

Although it is along the shore, Kakahaia isn't really a beach. The mud flats extend far far out in the water and it's really just a dirt shoreline. Maui County Parks manages it for the US Fish & Wildlife Service as it is actually part of the now-defunct wildlife refuge fenced in across the road. There is a porta-potty and... More

This is a large park with a nice stretch of beach. It is very well maintained. There are several shelters and some playground equipment, plus plenty of open space for walking or play.

Well worth making sure you in your swim wear when traveling along 450 east, pull over and take time to enjoy this little beach park... You probably be the only one there, but enjoy !

This is a 3-mile beach. The wave is too big to swim, but you can have a nice walk on the beach. Nice'n quiet except the boons of the wave and sound of the wind. Beautiful beach.

Had a nice picnic lunch here easy parking, tables to eat at. No bathrooms found. Try it just out of town

But the seas were rough! It is winter. The beach was beautiful but this isn't the time for swimming. And though I was just sightseeing, I got splashed!
