We have snorkeled here on three different visits. The variety of fish is excellent and the reef allows for sun to provide nice views of the fish if it is not too rough. One visit it was too rough and we could not see much...More

Great beach to surf and to watch turtles sun bathing at the beach. My favorite is olivia. But if you are in the water pay attention to shark signs . This week one surfer almost lost a leg due to shark bite , she received...More

R&R. Picturesque!❤😍❤ Great place to kick back and enjoy the breeze and view. Lots of hidden gems, Giovanni's and Matsumoto Shave ice for the beach.

Plenty of places to find sea turtles other than here. It was crowded, parking was awful and unsafe for the kids to cross a busy highway.

Small beach, no bathroom facilities. Traffic is horrible around here and barely any parking, hard to maneuver in and out. The beach is quite pretty, especially with the green algae on the rocks. It’s not necessarily a beach to hang out all day. We went...More

We walked here from Chun's Reef. It was fun hiking over the lava rocks and we saw 3 Sea turtles. I was surprised when we came upon this big guy resting in the sand. When we got to Laniakea beach we saw another one in...More

This is another beautiful Hawaiian beach with the added chance of seeing green sea turtles in the waves and on the beach if you are lucky! The day we went, we were incredibly lucky as there were so many in the waves. The waves wash...More

The turtle guardian said that the turtles are there year round but are more abundant on the beach in summer. The ocean there has high surfs and currents, and swimming there is not recommended. The volunteer said that... More

We went on a day tour that included this beach. We found it easier then having to hire a car and pay for parking.

Yes, they only ask that you observe at a comfortable distance and do not impede their direction. Enjoy, it was a very memorable experience.
