We rented a couple SUPs and took them up the river a couple times. Great experience and a relatively calm surf during the summer. It'd be nice if there were more vendors near the beach park.

We were driving by just before sunset so we pulled over and enjoyed the sunset. Such a friendly feel in the North shore area. Every park in the area is inviting and beautiful.
After being disappointed at Turtle Beach for the absence of turtles when we visited, we drove down to Haleiwa Beach park & were delighted to see turtles in the surf (but not onshore). Ample parking & there are surf lessons on offer for those interested.

Loved the beach and swimming - easy to handle waves. There is a high rock at the left hand side where teenagers love to jump about 8 meters down into the water - quite challenging. Great white beach - totally loved it - didn´t stay...More
