Considered one of the toughest courses in the nation, and named one of the top three golf clubs in Hawaii by Golf Digest, this magnificent golf course was carved out of a rain forest on the windward side of the 2,000-foot Ko'olau mountain range.

Excuse the convenient title pun, but it definitely needs a heavy makeover. Outside of amazing views, fairways are weeds and the greens are destroyed. Too pricey for the experience. Luckily, I only paid $50 for super twilight and was able to finish, minus the stress of a mandatory cart return time. However, I will say the staff was superb. Your... More

Rated as one of the toughest golf courses in the world, I shot pretty good. The course bumps up against the Ko'olau mountain range and works its way through the rolling hills and valleys of the foothills. Lots of places to lose golf balls. Follow the recommended play sheet they give or it could be a long day. It is... More

My wife and I played Ko'olau Golf Course to celebrate our 40th anniversary. I have fond memories of the course having played it in the past. The pro shop staff was very welcoming. We were told that the course was not in the best of shape, so we were provided one set of rental clubs on a complementary basis. We... More

The course had a lot of rain, about 8", the week prior to me playing it. As a result, some holes were closed. As a result of the holes being closed, they gave me a discount and they reduced the cost of clothing in the club house. They can't control the weather and they tried to make the best of... More

I don't mind playing in rain even I don't like it. However, first it turns out, some of the back nine holes are closed and they offered a 20% discount. The reality was, each fairway, each path was so slippery and wet you almost could not walk without slipping downhill. Very dangerous! I had to quit after five holes. They... More

Known as having some of the best views of any golf course in the USA, they need to spend some money on the course. Apparently it has gone down hill over the past 5 years due to neglect by its current owners, a church. It is in a rain forest, so its VERY wet and soggy. Its understandable that it... More

A beautiful course carved out of the rain forest on the windward side of Oahu. So if you are going to get some great pictures and a very unique experience for a golf course, this is the place. I would also advise to take rain gear when you go. During our round, the rain was not hard but would come... More

Due to the rain this course was very wet. Unfortunately they do not tell you only nine holes are open. The bad part is that the front nine is so wet that they don't mow the grass. You can't even tell what is fairway and what is rough. The greens also have about three different grasses growing on them. I... More

We played here after the course had received a lot rain in the morning and the previous week. When the course was being built, the budget blew out, so adequate drainage was only installed on the front nine, the back nine is just red clay with turf on top. We had to keep to the cart paths and walk out... More

I've attended several events here from funerals and weddings to a work self-care day. The setting is amazing; it's like driving into Jurassic Park minus the dinosaurs! Go check it out!
