Hawaii’s oldest and largest soaring operation, Original Glider Rides has been operating tours at Dillingham Airfield since 1970. Soaring the skies over northwest Oahu, panoramic vistas unfold as your pilot guides you in this bubble-topped aircraft. You’ll be in awe as you fly on the wings of the wind with sights and sensations you’ve never experienced before. A 20-minute flight can attain altitudes of 3,000 ft. or more. Single passengers can kick it up a notch with specialized add-on flight services like aerobatic loop-d-loops and Eagle mini-lessons.

Booked30 minute flight online 2 days prior to visit. Called 1 hour ahead of arrival and was told there was a weather hold. Proceeded to Dillingham airport and was told winds were not cooperating. Waited for another hour for an update, but by then a front was approaching so flight was cancelled. They will be giving me a refund.

As the title suggests, this was a dream come true. From pickup at my Hotel, the Glider Ride and the return trip back to my Hotel, it was easy and carefree. The flight itself was a real Hoot, I have flown in Bush Planes, Helicopters and all different types of Jets, this was the best flight ever. Pay the extra... More

Our gliding tour was fantastic! We took a 20 minute flight and were amazed at the view. We went on a 2 person flight, so the seating was very tight. It was worth it though. I'd highly recommend it.

If you have acrophobia you'd better choose the scenic. If you want to have exciting experience you choose the acrobatic.

It was beautiful and peaceful. We had hotel pickup to the destination which was cost $90 for 2 ppl. I thought was a little high. That was the only downfall. Other than that highly recommend this company.

This is a "bucket list" item! You might think that you've died and gone to heaven, since it certainly feels that way when youre soaring quietly over the Pacific with the birds. A view of Hawaii and the North Shore like no other. Magnificent views, and our pilot was so knowledgeable of not only aviation, but all of the wonders... More

Professional but relaxed pilot. Always a good sign. Amazing views. Would do this again! One caveat. Two small men were really cramped in the back seat. If you have any size to you, take a solo ride.

visited Honolulu Soaring for our first glider trips in February 2017. We found the staff to be very tuned-in to what we wanted out of our trips - one wanted to try flying, and the other just wanted good photography opportunities. Our pilots were laid back, easy going, and professional. Thank you for a great addition to our trip to... More

Very friendly instructor + tow pilot. Was lucky to have great conditions - aerotow to just over 1000 feet on second flight and made it all the way up to 2000 feet. Beautiful scenery, including whales out at sea. Looking forward to coming back.
