This can be a popular beach with locals on weekends and holidays, so be prepared for a full parking lot. Other times, you have it to yourself. It was great to have lunch here before heading off on a hike to Kaena Point. It was...More

Makua beach was my favorite beach out of all the beaches we went to on 4 islands in 2 wks. There’s a small parking area & a quiet beach. The area to the RT of the rocks is easy to enter, warm & beautiful color....More

This beach has the most gorgeous backdrop and is so large that you can have a space to yourself. But the entry is steep and shore break is rough! We have gone twice and both times with a surf report of 1-3ft, it's been too...More

Yes this beach is quite a drive from the city, but it is worth it! This beach isn't crowded and has some of the most amazing Sunsets on the island. The ocean currents can be strong here, so probably not the best place to swim,...More

The drive along the west side of Oahu to Yokohama bay is spectacular. Two lane road along the ocean , unspoiled coast with rugged rocky areas and wide, expansive sandy beaches.

Sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. Dog friendly / family friendly. You gotta drive to get here. This is where the locals go, and where visitors come to get away from the touristy-ness of Waikiki and Honolulu. No bathroom, so bring your own TP. No food, so...More

This beach is located at the end of the made road heading north on the western coast of Oahu. It's well worth the visit if you have a car. Crystal clear water and only a gentle current taking you along the beach, not out to...More

This beach at the end of Farrington Highway is certainly worth visiting. It is never busy but the surf can be good and the rugged coastline is beautiful.

This is a nice beach all the way at the end of the road. Nice place to look at stars, watch the sunset, or go for a swim. I just wish it were a lot closer. I'd prefer some other beaches, since you don't have...More
