Enjoyed our stay at the Makaha Resort. Excellent golf facilities. Good (but not great) restaurant which met our needs and a short ride to the beach. The most significant aspect of our stay was the fact that while Turtle Bay and the North Coast was getting deluged we were nice and dry! Can't beat that if you're only on the... More

The drive along the west coastline of Oahu reminds me of the ocean coastline in Tahiti. If you could take away the shanty houses and depressed looking buildings... You would think you were there. This side of the island has the beauty of old Hawaii. The Makaha Valley Road takes you through s winding one lane road to the back... More

At this point, Feb 2015, 2-1/2 Stars is pushing it. "5" Carts are allowed at a time. Meaning at a minimum 4 hours to play 18 holes. Many, young Asians, older people, lined up, take at least 5 practice swings, hit 10 yards, and repeat. Rarely does anyone let you by (let faster players player play through). Used to be... More

This golf course was recently bought out and is currently under construction, I expect it will be really nice when it is done, the former course was spectacular and the hotel portion was formerly owned by Sheridan, so if the new owners come through we will have a beautiful new local place.

In need of complete renovation. But it is a fun day to play golf! Twilight is 50% off, however, carts must be in by 5:30pm. Restaurant and small bar close around 3ish. Carts are slow battery operated. It is rare to get a fully charged cart at twilight. Ball washers are usually dry. Parking lot - poor. Greens - Fast,... More

Although not golfers, we stayed here because it was highly recommended. Very neat, clean and beautiful.. a little out of the way but totally worth it. The on site diner was very good.

I wrote a review about this place last year, but it's now deleted. This place is a dump, and my advice is to avoid it like the plague. It's disgusting, dirty, nasty, buggy. Need I say more? I would go into detail, but this will just be deleted like the very many other truthful and bad reviews of this place... More

If you're looking for a good dal, this resort is not bad. We stayed in March of 2011, and my spouse played the golf course and enjoyed it. We didn't spend much time actually at the resort, but I will say that I was too impressed. There were only ten lounge chairs by the pool, which was very disappointing. I... More
