Open to the public on weekends and to military most of the week. This beach is wide and sandy, the waves are good for body surfing or boogie boards. An easy drive from the city and definitely worth spending a day on this.

We visited here with family who are locals. Easy parking and beach access. No rocks. Good for swimming. Park is clean. Restrooms are clean-ish. Beautiful view of the mokes. Only open to the public on weekends. Not nearly as crowded as Waikiki.

One of my favorite beaches on Oahu and in my opinion one of the loviest. Some of the popular touristy beaches in Hawaii are just not as beautiful (or clean) as this beach. Bellows is further north so be prepared to get on the bus...More
