Visitor center was really busy with long lines . 4 or 5 Rangers were there to help with whatever kind of questions you had from hiking trails to shuttle bus routes or recommendations . Highly recommend this be your first stop while visiting Acadia.

Ample parking. Lots of steps from lot up to the actual welcome center. We didn't see the handicap accessible driveway/entrance until we had left. Welcome center is nicely stocked with typical national park items.

So first, be aware that you have to climb up like 57 steps to get to this place. The lady in there directed us to visit Bass Harbor lighthouse and the Seawall area that we really enjoyed and was a relaxing walk.

Get all the info you need before you go to Acadia. Take the loop road and hit Sand Beach first. You can buy the same ticket there. $25 for a car for a week. From there, you cat hit the rest of the loop
