came here one morning when weather was misty and cloudy and our boat trip was cancelled. Drive was just under an hour but totally worth it. We stopped at most of the drive-offs and they were all really scenic and very different. The point was...More

Though part of Acadia National Park, it's not in the main area. Maybe an hours drive from Bar Harbor, it's quiet and not over run with tourists. We couldn't get into half the sights in the main park due to crowds and over filled parking...More

This is often missed by most visitors to the National Park but is well worth the time to drive there. It was foggy the day we were driving but it still provided amazing views and geologic wonders.

This was by far the best of the trip. There were very few people compared to Acadia on Mt Desert Island. The views were breathtaking and it was so peaceful.

Schoodic is part of Acadia National Park and simply breathtaking! Hike, bike or drive and pack a picnic and enjoy the many varied vistas including a lighthouse. Our family's favorite part of Acadia National Park!

We went to the Schoodic Peninsula as part of a trip to Acadia National Park. For us it was the highlight of our visit. The crowds are nothing compared to the main portion of the park. We'd recommend trying to see the peninsula at both...More
