We passed this on Rt 3 in Bar Harbor and stopped in here one morning. They offer 3 1/2 hour tours - the touch tank, the museum, and the lobster hatchery. OMG it was SO interesting!!! Family friendly too. Our group had about 15 people...More

I learned so much during this visit! The whole place seems to run on a shoestring budget and the displays are very simple, but the touch tank presentation is so fun! I also learned a great deal at the lobster hatchery...the only one in the...More

My husband and I really enjoyed the tour. It was very informative on how Lobsters reproduce. It is the only Lobster hatchery remaining in the United States... We were amazed.

It was a cloudy day that ruined us for whale watching. We decided to check out the lobster museum. Three parts of a tour. First part was interesting for 5-6 different marine creatures. Second is museum visit. The owner sat with us and told us...More

Hatchery presentation & the General "Talk" was very Informative & educational. We were on a bus so our time was somewhat limited. We seemed to be "hurried" thru from hatchery to lecture area. There was no mention of a Discovery tank or a Marsh walk...More

Sorry I'm seeing this the day after but yes, this would be a great activity on a rainy day.
