Highly recommend

Highly recommended if you'd like to have an up-close tour of a small, historic brewery. Far less sterile than a tour of a large brewery. The tasting was also quite generous.

Great tour, fascinating history, and somehow, even more amazing beer! It would be worth it for the tasting alone. Buy a growler of your favorite tasting to go ($10 for the bottle and $12 to fill). Learn about what "steam" beer is and where the name comes from. Find out about about the gruesome and very San Franciscan death of... More

Awesome! I love a tour that allows for socializing with other beer lovers and this was the one. We went on a very informative tour including getting to go onto the bottling and secondary floor. Just bring a jacket because it gets chilly. I've been on a few other tours, and this has been the best so far. The tour... More

DEcided on an afternoon tour which happened to be a very hot day. Very good tour and interesting even though I have done this sort of thing a number of times. Made interesting by the tour guide (forgotten his name sorry). We were served a glass of Anchor Steam whilst waiting for the group to gather - nice touch. The... More

The history of microbrewery is revealed in a tour and tasting here on Mariposa Street. A truly enjoyable time at a classic landmark in San Francisco. Arrange a tour online only, no walk-ins taken, given twice daily. Check the website. Generous pours including special editions. Watched crew brew batches of Christmas Ale for shipment. Nice gift store too. $20 charge.... More

We tried to book this tour last year, but it was full, so got in early this time. This brewery is small and uses the old school way of making beer. Enjoyed the tour and especially the history of the brewery. We took the Happy Hour Tour on a Saturday and had a tasty sampling of the beers made. This... More

I've been on many brewery tours and this was one of the best. The building and facilities are top notch - very impressive copper kettles and tools. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the process of making beer and about the history of the company. He answered every question clearly and made people feel comfortable. The beer tasting afterward... More

I took my son and his fiancé for this fun tour and tasting. We all had a great time, learned a lot about Anchor and its history, and sampled some of the different beers. It was very well done and I would highly recommend this tour.
