Since the earthquake that took down the Embarcadero Highway, the surrounding streets and the views have certainly opened up. There are many restaurants and hotels that are now located there. You will also find The San Francisco Railway Museum on Steurt.

It's part of the SF waterfront. It's busy with people and a great walk on sunny days. Touristy stuff, nice restaurants, public transportation, and more.

There was a time the Embarcadero Freeway stubbed out and still managed to threat the historic Dmbarcadero. Now, it is a center for San Francisco, tourists, natives, stragglers. The Embarcadero has many fine restaurants, cafes and bars, a historic ttrilkey car system that provides modern...More

San Francisco is turing into NYC of the eighties. It is dirty, there are homeless people on EVERY block, and there are people young and old, smoking pot on the stairs, while they are walking, and sitting on benches. It stinks. It was embarrassing for...More

Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but

version of Wall Street. The rush of business people
make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of
life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the
narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of
historic and contemporary architecture, including the
iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours,
