There is a chocolate shop there that has gelato to die for. It's just a small shop with the word "chocolate" above it. Candy bars were your average candy bars but really try the gelato. I got cookies and cream, get the larger size because...More

This street is wonderful to walk through. We walked from Pier 39 to the Ferry Building and it was a really lovey walk. Lots to see along the way.

We stayed near the Embarcadero during record breaking heat. It was good to stroll along the Embarcadero as it was close to the water, with breezes, plenty to see and do.

The Embarcadero offers a huge variety of views and vistas, restaurants, cafés, and shopping opportunities. On hot day-or a foggy day it's a wonderful way to see that part of the city.

Recommend this site over Fisherman's Wharf anyway. Many excellent restaurants. Just nice to walk through.

Again, this area is a major tourist destination in San Francisco and is lined by piers, from which you can arrange cruises out into the Bay. Lots of touristy things to do, to eat, to see and to do. A must see when you are...More

It is a long street with plenty of traffic. Runs along the bay so you pass all the pier buildings and also AT&T Park at the far end.

The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
