Grand building worth visiting and taking a few photos of, especially the pier side that has Port of San Francisco displayed on it. The marketplace is also very nice to have a browse through with lots of dining options.

The array of eateries and small food purveyors is such an interesting mix. You get the wine and cheese thing but also real truffles, fresh meats and fish, amazing desserts, and unusual food ingredients that would inspire any chef to go and create. Cowgirl Creamery,...More

It’s like a mini Chelsea Market, but less crowded and good views of the bay and Oak bay Bridge. Hog island is good in here for oysters and mussels! you can sample food at almost every shop.

This is a great place to people watch; and the sitting area outside gives a nice view of the bay and the Bay Bridge.

Cool place but expensive (maybe not out of SF norms). Our group split several plates from a few vendors and listened to some great entertainment.

You can find many different shops and places to eat. Very convenient and by the sea... it is just at the end of Market street.

We enjoyed all of the fresh foods and offerings at the Saturday Farmerʻs market. Many were enjoying coffee but we liked to see the fresh fruits and nuts.

I recommend you park & walk or take the cable car for ease to Ferry Building. Trying to park close will be hectic & expensive.

Check with the cruise line's concierge, they will usually hold your bags for a short time - much as a hotel would. you will disembark equally close to Fisherman's Terminal (Pier 39, sea lions, gift shops, great views of... More
