Located in the Sea Cliff neighborhood of San Francisco outside the Golden Gate, this cove is tucked between Baker Beach & Land's End. Offering spectacular views of Marin Headlands and The Golden Gate this cove of sand is good place for sunbathing, play spot for children and a picnic. Observe the monument to the Chinese fishermen and early residents who camped and anchored in the cove.

It is a lovely view but I wouldn't swim here if I was you. It's cold and they waters is dangerous and choppy.

This is a nice little beach with great views and an opportunity to learn about the Chinese fisherman that once supplied the seafood for San Francisco. You will walk this beach as part of your walk on the Lands End Trail starting at the Cliff House.

This is definitely a great spot to relax by the beach and watch the sunset over the ocean, but also see the Golden Gate Bridge both by day and by night. This beach is quite small and in December it seemed occupied mostly by surfers and only maybe a few other tourists. It has its own parking area, but also... More

Fantastic way to appreciate the Golden Gate Channel, the power of the Pacific, the ebb and flow of the tide in and out of the Bay, and the Farallon Islands in the distance. This beach is only about 200 yards long, but is well worth a stroll. Excellent parking available.

Located in the Seacliff neighborhood. Have sheltered pocket of sand with a picnic area and a sunbathing deck. Accessible by a steep, paved drive or natural stairway of ~100 steps. Please note that the restroom is closed.

Moved to this neighborhood almost a year ago and just today discovered this little gem of a beach on a morning run. I was astonished at it's beauty, it's seclusion, and it's peacefulness. I shared the beach with a someone fishing, a person on the steps reading a book, and many pretty seagulls. Barges slowly inched by and the sun... More

Nice to visit on a sunny day. Plenty of sand and some waves. Nice view of Golden Gate Bridge. Caution that on a windy day, the blowing sand actually hurts. On an overcast day, it can be very cold. Can see Robin William's house - RIP.

San Francisco has much to offer. I have lived in SF for over 40 years and have yet to explore all its hidden gems. I recently organized a city hike to China Beach with 2 friends. Walking from the residential Richmond District to the oh so swanky Sea Cliff District was urban adventure enough with all the hills and vistas.... More

This is a small beach between Lands End and Baker Beach with great views of Golden Gate Bridge. We really enjoyed it on our walk from Lands End to Baker Bridge. Plus it has restrooms, which you will need during this walk. Houses around this beach are just so beautiful!

China Beach is one of the best secret spots in SF. Secluded from the main city. It's perfect for people looking for a beach away from the tourists, and with stunning views of Golden Gate bridge it's most definitely a hidden gem. Peace and quiet. Beautiful.
