I was here quite a few years ago but the tower itself was not open. Fortunately this day it was and we got to take the cramped and old elevator slowly up and down. The 360 degree view from the top is excellent and well...More

After looking at the tower from our hotel, we visited and saw a beautiful view of the city. Wear comfortable shoes as the steps leading up to the tower are worn.

Tower is easily reached from Fishermans Wharf by getting bus 39 from Powell & Beach and drops you off at entrance to tower, how easy. There are amazing murals inside entrance around the tower. If a senior cost to take elevator to top is only...More

The beautiful tower was closed when we arrived but we were still quite happy to see ithe exterior. The tower is adjacent to an amazing and inviting neighborhood overlooking the Bay Bridge with Alcatraz in view. Such beautiful vistas!

Was ok. Seems expensive to look out a tower. Staff were grumpy and not overly friendly; barking orders like we were sheep.

Not much of a que when we went, (about midday on a Tuesday.) Pay the small fee and take the lift to the top, stunning views, sunny day helps as there is no roof. Good walk up the hill if you want, or take the...More

We walked up here from the wharf, and it was well worth the time and effort. The day was clear and the views were amazing in every direction. The steps around here make it even better, and the art inside the tower is pretty top...More

it cost to ride an elevator to the top which is the only way to get to the top. So after the climb up telegraph hill, you have to pay ot finish your hike

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.

I suggest you read what is written on the website, and, if you don't trust what you read, email (or call if you can locate a number), and ask?!

The only way is the elevator . But if you want steps, you could walk up the 483 steps from Filbert to get to the tower itself! We did it and we are 60+ . And yes, we were happy to see the elevator inside. They also give a... More
