Great view of San Fran. You can drive up but I prefer to take my visitors up using the Greenwich stairs (corner of Sansome and Greenwich streets). Pretty exhausting trek up hundreds of stairs but exhilarating when you make it to the top. You can...More

An absolute hike to get to, but it definitely gives you a very commanding panoramic view of the Bay area. Worth a visit, but I would probably recommend against walking the many steps to get to the base of the tower, unless you enjoy the...More

Coit Tower is nice enough and worth getting to, but you should do it the hard way - up the 453 steps. The avenues and up-close look you get into some absolutely gorgeous homes is worth the sore calves.

Not necessarily an easy place to navigate to, but if you’re up for an uphill walk, it’s totally worth it!

This is a fun tourist attraction. There is a small fee for the elevator but it's so worth it. If you time it just right and in the right season, you can watch the sunset from the tower. There is a great view of Alcatraz...More

Coit tower has been a lover's lane of a place now for a couple three decades . It has a famous old tower built that was named after Sanfrancisco's older quaint residences by name of Lily Coit .who use to chase fire engines down the...More

I went up here near the end of my time in San Francisco. I wish I had done it earlier. Though it is a hike to walk there and then there is the elevator ride to the top ($5 for seniors), the view was amazing....More

Great panoramic views of the city from the top of Coit Tower. The viewing area is quite small so can feel busy at times. Well worth a visit.

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.

Not sure what these people are talking about. I wish people wouldn't answer questions if they really do not know the answer, but... You absolutely can pre-purchase a ticket for a specific date and time. With that ticket... More

The only way is the elevator . But if you want steps, you could walk up the 483 steps from Filbert to get to the tower itself! We did it and we are 60+ . And yes, we were happy to see the elevator inside. They also give a... More
