My wife and I walked the bridge round-trip on Thanksgiving morning in place of the traditional turkey trot. The views from the bridge back to San Francisco were awesome, and the walk was easy and fun. Great way to spend an hour or so of...More

It certainly shows its age, but is worth seeing. We drove over on our way to and from Muir Woods, and stopped at The Presidio to get some good views for pictures with reasonable parking availability. The area is absolutely beautiful!

Even more impressive in person than in pictures. There is a viewing spot on the north side where if you are lucky you can get a parking spot. Lovely park on the south side. Remember it is a toll bridge going back into the city....More

Personally I would do a Hop on Hop off double decker bus tour (Grey Line) and take the tour of the city which includes a stop at the bridge. Busses run about every half hour so you'll have flexibility to walk around. You... More
