Maybe I went on the wrong day (nice and clear) but there wasn't much to shout about here. In addition, the transport links to get up there aren't too hot. We walked from Fisherman's Wharf to the bridge along the Marina. This must have been...More

Brought our niece here from England. She was in awe! She said "you see pictures of it all the time and you know it's big, but until you see it in person you can't imagine just how tall it is!" We walked about half way...More

The lanes are quite narrow, and the traffic is heavy. A little scary driving inches off the barrier and the car next to you. Good views for the passenger.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a once in a lifetime experience for me probably hence we saw it by Boat, then walked halfway across and finally via a Tour bus drove over it, twice fortunate to see it in all its glory on a cloudless...More

Views to it from the mainland are spectacular, I couldn't stop taking photos! I decided to walk across to the other side but with the amount of traffic I wondered why! However I can say I've done it both ways.

We traveled over the Golden Gate Bridge two times during our 18 day road trip. The bridge, of course, is amazing and it was a great experience getting to finally see it. However, the so called "Fasttrack" to pay the toll was terrible. Both times...More

Traffic can be dangerous on the backside as you descend from Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Narrow street and distracted drivers.
