If you arrive at this little patch of green, the great news is that some great restaurants are steps away. Nice, quiet place for in the heart of the Italian section.

Really enjoyed relaxing in this park watching the activities around the square while enjoying a gellato from a nearby shop. There are several Italian restaurants in the area as well, plus the trolley car runs near by.

Fun place to people watch, enjoy a gelato or an espresso...all walks of life traverse the Square. Close to Chinatown and a good stroll to the Wharf.

Hangout for the down and outs I'm afraid and with the grass worn and under repair it isn't very pretty at the moment. Toilets at one end were very handy all the same. 1998

This small city park is located on Columbus Street at Union. This is a popular place to visit. We found locals and visitors alike lounging in the grass and people watching on the day we visited. Lots of neighborhood festivals are held here.

The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
