There really is not much to see but despite this Lombard Street is fascinating way to spend half an hour. How a major road can suddenly turn into the single carriageway switchback is truly amazing and always attracts many spectators and cars wanting to test...More

We love this street! It is interesting to watch cars slowly take all these curves. We drove the street several years ago and decided not to do that again this trip. Instead, we walked down the stairs alongside the street.

Just a windy street, it is nicely landscaped, but be wary of pick-pockets, they operate in the area!

Met cousin who lives in San Francisco here at night. Have been to to place many times and have drove down it too. Great thing to see especially in spring with blooms, but is definitely built just for tourists.

Incredible road with 180 degree bends on a very steep hill. Flora and Fauna in abundance and is a must see with great views.

The winding, twisting road was edged with so much shrubbery that it was difficult to see the effect even when full of cars. This was the case when either looking down from the top or up from the bottom. The only hope of getting a good...More

Everyone should take a trip down this awesome street. We drove down and were able to get great pictures. It gets very backed up with cars and pedestrians walking down as well, but is worth the trip.

Well worth the walk to the top as views are breathtaking. I couldn't make it to the top without stopping a couple of times ... I wasn't the only one so didn't feel that bad in stopping

This was so much fun. We broke down this street and it was so very cool. It was made this way to help the horses haul us materials and today it is just a blast to drive down. Many people are there to take photos...More

Lombard Street is definitely worth a look just for that crooked section at the top. If possible walk down the street rather than up it as the uphill climb leading up to it is very steep. If you don't mind the uphill climb we would...More

Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential
neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner.
Combined with several great cafes, restaurants,
antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any
visitor would gladly leave their heart in San
Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down
Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world,
and make the slow creep downhill past charming period

There are plenty of tourist sites to see in SF and this is one of many to considered a site to see. Keep in mind we walked from Fisherman's Wharf and it was a hike up I think 5 or 6 steep blocks, the type of streets you see... More

Yes it is possible. There are sidewalks, but it will be hard, the hills are steep.
