We booked a taxi to drive down this iconic landmark--and what a thrill it was! It's an experience you don't want to miss. Great views of the city also.

1 of the most famous landmarks, has to be seen. I don't think there is much advantage to driving down it as opposed to walking. Great view across the city and the bay.

What a beautiful short yet steep walk up this quirky street! Wonderful!! Even the car drivers coming down obeyed the speed limit. Beautiful flowers right up this zig-zag.

We walked from our hotel on the Wharf to find Lombard Street. You have to climb some serious hills to get there but it is unusual. But at the end of the day it is only a road!

Honestly, if you don't want to walk a couple of blocks, have a reputable cab drop you at the top and then walk down. That's what we did and loved it!
