This street has such beautiful homes and gardens on it! Definitely worth a walk/drive down. FYI large cars will not be able to drive down.

We went twice, first time climbed up and second time we took the Street car. It is so amazing to see this well known street and walk down and up ....San Francisco is wonderful expiriance

Honestly I found it so cringeworthy watching everyone flock to this street , take photos and hold up traffic . There are people living in the houses and I don’t think people are really respectful to that, there were people standing all over the street....More

The street is really cool, though visited by way too many people and cars driving through all the time just for the fun of it. Best pics are taken from the bottom.

There's a real sense of accomplishment when you've made it to the top of Lombard Street. Someone is always nearby and happy to take your picture with your phone/camera

There are plenty of tourist sites to see in SF and this is one of many to considered a site to see. Keep in mind we walked from Fisherman's Wharf and it was a hike up I think 5 or 6 steep blocks, the type of streets you see... More

Yes it is possible. There are sidewalks, but it will be hard, the hills are steep.
