View from Presido side

The view from the Presidio side is the best. The Sausalito side is not as photogenic. Afternoons probably are best for pic's.

This is our go-to place to take visiting friends & family. Breathtaking views of SF Bay and Pacific...IF it's a clear day. See photo that our sister/sister-in-law took. Unfortunately, sometimes you can only see the top of the GGB. Best of all it's free. Consequently, you can expect it to be crowded with other tourists; limited parking. By the way,... More

Seeing the Bridge rise up into the sky is an incredible sight. I wish we had been able to see if from below vs a vehicle, but it was beautiful all the same.

great time, we watched people hire bikes and ride around to the other side of the bat and get a ferry back across. we were told it was about 12 mile ride and went over the bridge. well we started walking from fishermans wharf and just seemed to keep walking we got to the bridge and walked over it. then... Spanning about a mile, San Francisco's iconic bridge must be walked at least once. Yes, it can be crowded, yes, the cars are noisy, and yes, it is probably chilly or windy, but layer up and join the crowd. The views of the city, the Bay with its sailboats, tankers, and windsurfers, and the Marin headlands are worth it, and... More

Tony Bennett has a song, " I left my heart in San Francisco....", and just as the song's lyric goes, San Francisco will leave an unmemorable memories in your heart. Try at least ONE Week to visit the city and its neighboring Bay Area. Some of the must see sites include: - Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, and San Rafael... More

Visited SF in September 2016, but it was very cool and overcast. Crossed the bridge on the hop-on tour bus, but it was like a wind tunnel and really cold so you had to look straight ahead. The other time when we drove to SoCal, it was very foggy so you couldn't see too much. Too bad. Missed the humpback... More
