Not as great as New York's little Italy, but good for San Francisco. Great food and friendly people.

A must see Italian neighborhood in San Francisco full of great restaurants, small shopping boutiques, a lovely Washington Square Park, and beautiful churches. You can spend a day walking around sipping & snacking. However, I highly recommend a guided tour to get the most out...More

Historic neighborhood with many restaurants and shops also a few churches. Fun to walk through, stop for an espresso and pastry, lunch or dinner. Mix of tourists and locals. Highest rated pizza restaurant in San Francisco. The Stinking Rose is a famous restaurant for those...More

North Beach is a great spot for visitors. The main street, Columbus Avenue, runs right through North Beach, so it is easy to get here by car or bus. You will find Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39 to the north. Chinatown borders the south. This...More

This used to be the Italian neighborhood and still houses lots of traditional Italian restaurants and cafes. But now the population is largely Chinese, a sign of the changing city. Pretty architecture, good views, walkable streets.

Authentic Italian experience in San Francisco with many eateries beckoning with traditional fare...fun neighborhood to walk around in, peek into shops and bars and restaurants...has a distinctive flavor and harkens to the city's Italian immigrant experience.

Lots of stuff. Food. Strip clubs. Bars. Tattoos. Tourists. A bookstore. Memories. Candy. The past. It's over.

Once you exit the Chinatown area on Grant Avenue you will transition into the North Beach area. Primarily the area settled by Italian immigrants it still has the favor of little Italy. Lots of things to see and do and a great dining option. Enjoy

This neighborhood has managed to carry it's raucus freewheeling attitude from 150 years ago. strip clubs rub shoulders with hip venues, and around the corner is little Italy

Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's
Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique
neighbourhood decorated with colourful shops, historic
streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs
awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on
dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who
gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or
practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands,
