Beautiful church!

Absolutely gorgeous. Definitely something to see. There is a "recommended" donation of $10, but not really enforced.

This church reminds me a lot of the churches I've seen on travels to South America. They are so epic in terms of their construction and fine architectural detail. We didn't have the chance to go into the church, due to lack of time, but took plenty of pictures of the outside. There is a park abutting the church grounds... More

Happened to stop in while the choir was practicing for the 3pm choral service. Beautiful angelic voices were heard throughout the building.

Massive cathedral inspired by French architecture. Built shortly after the fire. If you like architecture, history, art, etc you should check it out.

This is a pretty amazing, modern cathedral. It a giant cement building on a beautiful hill in San Francisco. Outside it's pretty basic, but definitely imposing. On the inside it's huge and cavernous. Tourists and locals should go out of their way to visit this place.

I used to work near Grace Cathedral & it was not until recently that I decided to venture in. I am not a "religious" person but was raised Catholic so I can really appreciate a good cathedral. Grace Cathedral does not only offer wonderful masses, but they also have an amazing holiday choir that performs, along with Yoga classes, etc.... More

We went to the 11 am service on Sunday. A German choir sang before the service and the men and boys choir at the service. This is the full high church smells and bells treatment, but great music and setting and really nice people.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
