At the northwestern corner of San Francisco, there is a series of stunning views at every turn in this wild and windy trail. Hillsides of cypress and wildflowers, views of shipwrecks and access to the ruins of Sutro baths, a San Francisco specials memory.

This is a fab little National Park my sister recommended we go to. Parking is super easy/free, the views are beautiful, and the paths well maintained and easy to moderate depending on which part you're on. There are some bits with lots of stairs, but I saw people of all fitness levels there. Warning: there are no bathrooms along the... More

I've been fortunate enough that every time I've visited it's been gorgeous and sunny. In the distance you can get a good view of the Golden Gate Bridge as well. This is a scenic point and I'd recommend it if you're in the mood for a short hike.

I'm really glad our rental ended up being within walking distance of these great trails, or we may not have made the effort to come for a visit. And we would have missed out! While there were certainly a fair few other people on the trail, it still felt peaceful and relaxing. There are many great views of the Golden... More

Land's End trail is on a far west corner of San Francisco. It's beautiful, has two free parking lots, and connects with the Pacific Coastal Trail. You can catch views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and of the Pacific Ocean and Ocean Beach. Definitely wear hiking boots or really good sports shoes if you want to go looking for the... More

There is great history at Land's End (and you must go yourself to see what it is). The trees canopy the beautiful sky line and the sun sets are amazing. Be sure to take a walk on the sidewalk around the bend to see the fabulous view of the Golden Gate Bridge. It's very quiet here and not a popular... More

Even though we visited on a rather wet and cloudy day, we still thoroughly enjoyed the coastal views, trails and Sutro Baths. A little bit of climbing (stairs) and slopes but generally manageable. Highly recommended.

Golden Gate Park (#1) and The Presidio (#2) are both awesome parks with lots to do! Their smaller sibling just doesn’t feel like it’s in the same league as the other two. It certainly isn’t a bd park by any stretch of the imagination, but it just felt underwhelming by comparison.

A relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. When you need to unwind and take in a hike to see a bit of nature and take in some nice views this is the place to go.

Highly recommend going here and taking a hike! Just a beautiful easy to do scenic trail that leads to the water.
