Moscone Center is undergoing a major transformation currently. South Hall has just had it's exterior and lobby gutted. Should be a nice new venue, by the end of the year!

If you come here, it will probably be with a purpose. This is San Francisco's huge convention center and where the big trade shows are held. For some of them which attract over 100,000 visitors, the city is transformed and overwhelmed. This is not a pretty place, but is practical and brings a lot of tourist money into town.

The Moscone Conference center has three main parts, Moscone North, Moscone South and Moscone West. Moscone North and South are connected by tunnel, while Moscone West is separated by 4th avenue. The was a significant amount of construction going on while we were here, but it had little impact on the conference here. Moscone North is built under the Yerba... More

Attended a national convention here. There was a fair amount of construction which made navigation a little challenging. The rooms were more than adequate for our needs.

A really big place for meetings in downtown San Francisco. You can reach it by walking . A piece of modernity between classic buildings

They are not really good at managing large groups of folks trying to get in to events. Bathrooms are not really convenient - placed all the way in the back. Food served was so so. Event staff was very pleasant.

They are doing a renovation and work on the street has traffic very congested. The center is huge, but it's well mapped out. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food provided at our conference was very good.

The Moscone Center North and South halls are going through a major construction process where the Howard Street roadway between the two halls is a giant hole. Use the bridge to cross over and don't try to catch an Uber because traffic can get really bad on the street. Crossing on the street is incredibly dangerous right now. If you... More

This place is big and have a large reception area at the ground floor. The negative part is that it is divided into parts and you've to move from one center to another if you have meetings at different centres. The temporary walls, that has been put in between the rooms for separation, do not serve the purpose. You can... More

A large decaf cappuccino with vanilla was $7.00. Need I say more? And the construction in the street between north and south necessitates going underground to get across.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
