Nice little place to taste some wine

Skilled bar-tender and a large selection of wines. The location close to the pier is nice too. Definitely worth the visit.

Have fond memories of this place. It used to be a cool fun hip hangout. But those days are over. The guy who works there now is unbelievably rude, knows little to nothing about wine, and tells you up front he works on tips. Thumbs down

A great pit stop to sample some avant-garde CA wine blends. For a purist like myself, the blends are surprisingly good. Their Winery label (bunted in SF !!) for a blend of several Cabs from different CA regions is a delightful surprise. One may taste several whites, reds, or combinations; or by the glass for a very low price. Bottles... More

This place is run by two friendly and entertaining guys who clearly love what they do and they have a vast knowledge of wine. There are a few different options on tastings so we chose a mix of white and red. It was only $15 for 5 wine tasters and we were also given a free glass of sparkling and... More

We are wine lovers from New Zealand, why wouldn't we like to try some local wines? The larger of the two men servers offered us a drink. When we said we wanted to do a tasting he was a little disgruntled 'at that decision. He delivered our first taster and gave us a five second review of the wine and... More

I purchased a Groupon before heading to San Francisco, and made the Winery Collective our first stop while waiting for our room to be ready. It was a fun place to stop after a long flight, and it gave us a chance to sample some wine before walking around Fisherman's Wharf. The Collective was not overly packed, but it had... More

My daughter and I stopped in because we needed to unwind. We were both exhausted and a little tense as we had been moving all week. The atmosphere in The Winery Collective was exactly what we needed. Our pourer, Mark, was friendly and knowledgeable and had just the right amount of wit to be fun but not arrogant. The "red"... More

We got as part of a Groupon, really enjoyed, I would have liked a little more wine in each taster but when you compare the tastings to the cost a of full glass it seems good value

We read some good reviews, and made a trip to check this place out. I have no idea if the wine is good or not, as the service was so horrible! Appeared to be only one guy working, and he was an unbelievable jerk. I read some other reviews, and it looks like it was the same guy! I guess... More

Staying at the argonaut we stumbled upon the winery collective downstairs and were quite pleased. We (I am 29 and my two parents) spent a couple of hours here enjoying tasting flights followed by our favorite bottle (glitter). Mark was informative, fun and enthusiastic which made the experience memorable. We were fortunate to be the only ones there for our... More
