We did not know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised: 1) first Tuesday of month is free; 2) an interesting collection combining modern art and classical art in same room.

Museum has a decent collection and is located in a beautiful park like setting. DO NOT let this fool you. Our car was broken into and robbed. Apparently this happens regularly here at this museum and in San Francisco in general. In fact, the museum...More

The Legion now has stroppy combination of classic Rodin bronzes and modern sculpture face to face. The building itself is a classic, with panoramic views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate.

The architecture is beautiful and it is a great piece of history. The only down side is that there is not a lot else in the area. It is a nice to see but not a must.

Drove here on a Sat afternoon. Amazing view. Beautiful museum. However. Other than parking temporarily and checking it out. Couldn't go inside because it was impossible to find parking.

This was a revisit and again we travelled on our Muni Pass which meant a reduced entry fee after a short pleasant walk up the hill. There are just enough rooms and exhibits to make for an interesting but not overwhelming visit and then there...More
