The Crocker Galleria is closed on the weekends. But on weekdays, it's great place for shopping and eating out. There are a number of eateries to choose from. For some yummy pastries and good cakes, I recommend the Andersen Bakery on the 1st floor. My favorite store is Frankie and Myrrh on the 2nd floor. There, one could find fun... More

The Crocker Galleria is just off Market Street in the Financial District. The little business center has shops and restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating. Should you be so adventurous, you can take your lunch up to the Roof Garden. The Roof Garden has many benches but little shade and no tables. On a warm day, the sun can delightfully... More

We went again to the farmers market at Crocker Galleria. There were a lot of very good quality vegetables, breads, nuts, and other things for sell. We also visited the food court area, which was busy as we were there around noon.

I work near here - looking out of my office window upon it right now... One block long - connects Post to Sutter - and narrow. Mixture of retail at varying price points, couple of service firms, and sort of a food-court feel to the top floor. Lunchtime is financial district wage-slaves using the food-court. The retailers suffer a high... More

This is a wonderful building but i found it just far to busy. The main problem was that the walkways that are around the central opening are fairly narrow plus most of the shops have tables and chairs on these walkways. As we had a wheelchair with us this made it particularly difficult to get round. There is a roof... More

At Crocker Galleria there is a weekly Farmer's Market on Thursday; twice a week in the summer. We have also had lunch here. There are various small places to have lunch; there is also cupcakes, pastries, etc. There are some stores; on our recent visit some were selling San Francisco Giants items as they are in the 2014 World Series.... The Crocker Galleria was right next to our hotel, but we only realised this on the last day of our stay. Each time we left the Galleria Park Hotel we had turned left, the Crocker Galleria was to the right as you leave the hotel. If you are staying at the Galleria Park Hotel you can also enter the Crocker... More

Mainly we came here for something to eat. Maybe it was the time of day but it was very busy, even too busy to walk properly. The mall has a number of quaint shops that give it a more local character.

When we stopped by there was a little farmer's market, where you'd never expect to find one. Amazing architecture and nice selection of shops to find gifts for everyone back home.

Sparse offerings of quick-ish food. Not open weekends or evenings. Obviously intended for those working in surrounding buildings.

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
