While we didn't get to see a lot of this park, we did walk the trail that wound along close to the coast. It was awesome! There was one fantastic view after another. The trail wasn't too hard to walk and there were branch trails...More

This is a very special park with some nice sculptures and amazing views, while you walk around, though too often missed by tourists and locals.

3* Lincoln Park Golf Course The bad news is this place is run down. The drought has exacerbated the condition of the fairways to where there are very large barren and dirt areas. The ball does travel a little further though. The course is hilly...More

Some truly amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge from this lovely and expansive park. We were too late to get into the Legion of Honor (I think they close at 5pm), but did do some unexpected bird watching (osprey & falcon or hawk). Will...More

Take a long bus ride on the #1 California. Get off at Clement and walk through the park to the Palace of the Legion of Honor. See the GG Bridge. Smell the plants. Can't be beat.

When I consider the parks that my kids grew up with they had a VW bug compared to the Cadillac parks in SF. Lincoln Park has plenty of room for a picnic, a stroll or hours of fun on the equipment. When you walk to...More

I'd like to see the sunset AFTER visiting the Legion of Honor museum. If I parked at the Museum, and returned around sunset: (1) Is it permitted? (2) Is it reasonably safe. (e.g. I don't mind being in the dark. I'm asking if the Park is subject to constant incidents). If it's safer to park near the Visitor Center (to avoid those incidents) (3) Is the parking lot a decent size? (50 spaces) (4) How long can I park there after the Center has closed? Thank you!
