Okay, I dare you - walk up and down the steps. Soak in the exquiste views- all the way to the Bridge and Marin Co.
Look down from the top of these steps on some amazing mansions with green rooftop gardens and in the distance the sailboats gliding in the bay. Wonderful place especially if you are in or near the Presidio anyway.

What a great view you can find here if you are willing to go out of your way to get to it with your family or by yourself.
At the end of Broadway is Lyon the views are great, there's about a few hundred steps to go, there's 2 huge trees( think redwoods) past these is a bus stop if you want to go to downtown, also entrance to the Presido.
