this is a stroll really, a possibility to enjoy the day as it unfolds, perhaps from east to west, or, even as the day dwindles, in the other direction. leave temple, sherith israel on California on a Saturday afternoon after enjoying a bar mitzvah, rich with the arcane tones of old Judaism and the modern rhythm of new folk songs,... If you want to shop for home furnishings and antiques, bring lots of money and shop to your heart's content. Definitely a different experience in the city.

This is an area known for unique shops relating to home furnishings, hardware as well as art and antiques. You will also find quaint or avant garde clothing shops all rather expensive.

Little unique shops. Locals shop and stroller these parts. Upscale whatever. If you're looking for something bring lots of $. Whole shops dedicated to: one of a kind wood furniture, socks, newborns, bathing suits, upscale dressing, antiques, ribbon, etc. trendy eating establishments, trendy this and that's.... Sacramento Street is quaint shopping district that has long been know for its Art, Antiques and Home Furnishings. It offers a distinctly different experience from that of Union Street. I was born in SF and lived my first seven years on Clay Street , 1 block away . A long time ago it was functional , with small grocery stores , hardware stores and useful places to shop .
